It isnt the first time, but not have i done this in a while. Im type 1 and currently on novamix 30. I usually take injection in the morning at 9.00 but today it just slipped my mind :/. I had my usual , followed my routine and as i done my readings at half 12 before lunch i was 27.7!!! I was like ****... So i done my usual ammount that i take in the morning at half 12 instead.. A couple minutes later i had a pizza for lunch anyways.. I done a little excersize and its coming down now.. Will i be okay and what should i do for dinner time as i usually take 2nd injection at 6.00 ?? Please advice needed.. I dont wana hypo today :(

I don't use a mixed insulin so I don't know, but I'd assume take a smaller dose than usual tonight as you'll still have some on board from the lunchtime jab.

Thanks alot for replying, i appreciate it! I phoned for advice and they said just to have dinner a couple of hours later :)

Watch you don't go low tomorrow morning as well as tonight then - just keep testing and deal with as appropriate I guess. You probably won't see any difference :woot:

She said to just have a snack before bed, as usual.. But later , so im guessing that will be okay, do u think?

I guess she's advising to just stretch out todays doseages a bit to help avoid overlap, you may want to delay tomorrow mornings an hour if you think about it you were 3hrs late and then 2 tonight, 1 tomorrow am and then you're back on track. Personally I'd test a bit more than usual until Saturday night and treat if a bit lower than what I'm happy with. But carry on with your usual eating habits/what they say.
