Hi. I am 50 and 6 months into a T1 diagnosis following a lot of stress over the preceding year as I lost my Mother in Law via Dementia and my Dad to a brain tumour then cancer. Alongside this my work was very demanding and as I work for myself suffered and increased the stress and pressure
I was put on Oxactin for mild depression just ahead of my diagnosis and Dads death and now tests have revealed a high cholesterol level which I cannot manage easily through diet as I am fit and (mostly) healthy.
I have reduced my hba1 down from 107 to 48 and managing pretty well. I am now needing to review diet though to cut out the diabetes related fats so will take a little adjustment.
Good luck with adjustment and I have learned masses in the 6 months I have joined this particular club and always happy to share knowledge and experience
Brian
