Hi everyone just got my latest results. hba1c was 5.4 but the cholesteral has risen from 4.0 to 4.6
i have been overdoing it on the pork scratchings cheese and peparamis so i guess its back to basics to get this down. but horray for the hba1c i think 4th time in a row :D
 
I wouldn't worry too much about that cholesterol result. That looks like a TC (Total Cholesterol) count - this is the sum of your LDL (BAD) and HDL (GOOD) cholesterol.

It could be that your HDL (High Density Lipids) have raised. This is GOOD. HDL is the GOOD cholesterol that you WANT. You could ask for a Lipid Profile, which will give you your HDL and LDL counts.
 
il get them from my so called new doctor when i see him in a few weeks. the receipionist that gave me the results didnt have a clue. so my levels may be ok then phew no more cheese noooooooooooooooooo
 
I've been going mad on cheese myself lately - Double Gloucester with Onion and Chives is bl00dy lovely!
