Thanks for all the suggestions everyone and that’s a fair point! Prepare and adapt but don’t sweat it too much, honestly the last time I went I did a 24 hour fast on the first day so I doubt I need to worry too much about eating if I get the fats in. @Resurgam that sounds fantastic though and bless you for giving food away to others like that.
Thanks for pointing that out. I notice stress has cropped up in a number of threads so obviously it is another root cause of high blood sugars, independent of food intake?
I had started to look at this type of thing for and during my travels to London. It’s good to see that some attempts are being made to provide this form of nutrition that is acceptable to diabetics.
Those do look really promising actually, it would be good as some emergency’s ration style stuff to just grab if I can’t snag anything else. Trying to keep it down to to under 50g a day so those could fit right in. Thank you!
Fair point there too @Dexterdobe as stress can be a worse strike against you than the odd spike.

When I was finding my way with T2, I had small, sort of 30gr, packs of slated nuts in lots of bags. I rarely needed them, but it was nice to know I'd never expire due to hunger.
These have a bit more variety, although the carb values vary across the range. At 60p a pack they look promising.
