- At the moment... artex ceilings. Also the concrete patio.
Arrrgh! I am starting to get a little angry now. I have been following a LCHF diet for a week now (okay, not a long time in the grand scheme of things I know!) and have been being very good with my food choices. I am not losing ANY weight though... in fact, I am gaining weight! I have no idea what is going on.... I'm going to stick to the diet but it is pretty annoying denying myself tasty treats and having nothing to show for it!
Yes it's probably your body adjusting. Really, really don't worry about not getting into immediate weight loss. You have your blood sugar stabilised and that's a great thing, a better benefit in the long run than any weight loss. It's what you need to do first in diabetic LCHF. The weight loss will come with time. It may require some tweaking of calorie intake, as @tim200s said - though often this happens automatically because you feel full.My sugar is under control, no problems there. I am actually eating... well, almost nothing per day (but not starving myself!!). When I failed to lose weight for the first few days, I cut right back. Ho hum, perhaps it's just my body adjusting.
My insulin requirements have gone way down (between 2 and 4 units per meal, depending on carb count). My blood scores have always been good however as I like to keep tight control, for my own peace of mind but also, more recently, because my husband and I are trying for a baby.
Thanks for the support/advice. I am sure things will start moving... soon. Otherwise, well, it's good to try to maintain as healthy a lifestyle as possible.
