Hi highland la55 , yes it is very worth the effort to do lchf the benefits are profound, well done youHighly recommend this way of eating LCHF allowing you to be in control of your body and any medication you are on.Im type 2 and have been for 11 years. Have improved my health considerably in past 6 weeks following this.
I am type 2 diabetes. Diagnosed 11 years ago. Couldnt quite control it with diet alone. Got put on Metformin. Suffered terribly with this so got put on slow release metformin. Realised this tablet was just passing through me went back on ordinary metformin. Recent blood results showed my B 12 was too low. Metformin was depleting it from my body. In total i was on 4 metfromin ,4 gliclazide, 3 lisinopril blood pressure tabs, 1 Lipitor for cholestrol, now taking 2 cyanocobalomin for B12 deficiency. My blood pressure was 159/101, blood sugars sky high. Use a site called dietdoctor.com I have followed LCHF for 6 weeks and have lost 17lbs in weight, blood pressure down to 126/83 now only take 2 tabs for BP.Dont take gliclazide any more. Awaiting blood results which i know are going to be lower than before. Last Sunday they were 4.8 mid afternoon. never been as low as this . Feeling great eating this way.My diabetic nurse wasnt too pleased that ive altered medication myself. Check BP daily and sugars twice a day. Im not lining pharmacuticals pockets a minute longer by taking drugs unnecessary.Hello and welcome, good to hear of your success
You must be so pleased about your results and reaping the benefits of having reversed your diabetes. I too bought The Diet Doctors book along with diabetes no thanks and a few others. Its a new lifestyle and a lot better than feeling rough with all the medication they throw at you. Keep up the good work.Excellent job! I love the Diet Doctor. I even bought his book and have loaned it to my diabetes nurse. Can't wait to find out what she thinks at our next consultation.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your further progress back to health.
Congratulations on your results following the LCHF way of eating. I intend to get off all medication for diabetes., BP as well. Keep up the good work.Hi @Highland La55 , welcome and well done!
