finally getting somewhere on the neuropathy front but at the end of my appointment the doc asked to check my eyes. she found a bleed in the back of my left eye????? seeing the eye guy on tuesday anyone have a rough idea what it might be she would'nt say much about it.

From my own experience it MAY be retinopathy which is where the blood vessels develop leaks and release blood into the eye. As I understand it, it is treatable. However, only a proper diagnosis by a professional will confirm what it is.

My opinion is worth exatly what you paid for it. :?

Do you have an annual check for retinopathy as per the guidelines?

Well in my own experience the retinopathy came before the neuropathy.
Not trying to scare you, but REALISTICALLY speaking I would guess it's a leaked blood vessel at the back of your eye but I honestly would not freak out. The danger is when it goes left untreated.
The good thing is you will find out tomorrow whether it should clear up on it's own, or you might need a little bit of laser.

If your vision isn't actually affected then this is honestly a good sign. Right now I can hardly see anything out of my left eye because I have another huge bleed. So far I've had laser surgery 7 times, all before the age of 24 and I've only been diabetic 5 years. I drew the short straw.. I've been unlucky. This is really rare/

Good luck tomorrow.

crikey ham,
you arent having it easy hun,
good luck 4 tomorrow n try not to worry too much :D

As has been said, you may hav leaking from retinopathy, but you could also have a true bleed. these needn't be serious.
Lasering usually fixes it
