Can that be possible? I've been eating carbs and protein together (sandwich with ham or salami) for so long on top of healthier meals that I completely forgot that eating carb alone is a fatal mistake. I'm so upset and angry at myself. But for example last week I gave in to cravings and ordered a medium sized pizza, gave myself 4 units and devoured it in 10 minutes. Sugar before was 7 something and sugar after was 6.5. Now I ate just one cheese scone and I went over 13. Should have had some protein with it. Lesson learned.................but then again, I eat store brought joghurt with added sugar in it and don't get near the same effect.
All three test were done 30 seconds apart each. I did eat something that I haven't ate since my diagnosis (cheese scone). What the hell is going on?

No, eating carbs alone is NOT a fatal mistake. I often have snacks that are mainly carbs.
There are two issues here, I think. The first one is easy - blood meters aren't entirely accurate so it's very common to get different readings if you do a few tests in a row.
Second issue is the high after the scone. We're you sure of the carbs? Did you bolus correctly? I eat scones but I tend to choose the small pre-packaged ones as the amount of carbs in ones you might buy in a cafe or bakers can be higher than you'd think.
I don't think I used the correct amount of insulin (now that I look back). It's one of those "reality check" days...
