Ive been experiencing alot of leg cramps just before i go to bed.
Its so painful. All between my left ankle and halfway up my shin. Same leg and area each time.
Is this something to be concerned about?

I get a lot of foot cramps now, so painful. Try to massage them away but can make them worse.

Check out your diet for micro nutrients, could be not enough electrolytes or iron.

Cramps can also be a sign of a thyroid deficiency so mention it to your doctor.

Can also be magnesium. Trouble is most magnesium tablets also have b in them that may not be needed. However there is are magnesium sprays that could be sprayed directly on the area where being affected.

I had leg cramp in bed. The cause was due to vit D deficiency which was revealed by a blood test. Once I had a vit D injection done, within 7 days, the cramp cleared up.

The cramping seems to have calmed down for the past few days since i started taking a multi vitamin with additional iron. But i am going to see the doc and have blood tests done. Many thanx everyone x

I had really bad leg cramps before i was hospitalized with DKA. From what i know it is a potential sign of dehydration, iron deficiency, and electrolyte imbalance. These can be caused by many things - in my case DKA - you case may just be dietary imbalance. Blood work should point you in the proper direction. Until then be sure you are eating properly, and drinking enough water.
