I would like to drink lemon juice in hot water as an early morning drink. However I think I read somewhere that citrus fruits aren’t a good thing, I have T2.
A small amount of freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice (I’m talking half a fruit or less) in plain water doesn’t have an impact on my BG - test and see. Makes iced water even more refreshing.
I regularly add lemon and lime juice (both fresh and bottled) to drinks and use them when cooking. In the (small!) quantities I use they have no apparent effect on my glucose levels.
A bonus to this for me is that Keto gives me 'sore bits' and this is mitigated nicely by juice of half a lemon daily in water. No effect on my bg either so far. YMMV
