I have a mutated gene, when diagnosed was first in this country and the second in the world to be diagnosed with it. My family were the first family in the world to be diagnosed with this mutation. It has affected all of my endocrine system which has caused my diabetes. I just woundered if there was anyone else out there with this gene deformity, would like to talk if possible

Hi Linda ... that's really interesting about your mutated gene. May I ask how you got it diagnosed and did it take a long time to show up?

I know that sometimes when we're in contact with viruses, the result can be gene mutation but I've never known anyone be offered that genetic screening. I was in contact with swine flu in 2009 and have had an awful time healthwise ever since, being diagnosed with several conditions, compromised immune system and diabetes.
