levemir overdose / underdose ?

So I let my hair down tonight however after a few wines husband and i in disagreement about whether i took my night time long acting levemir.

So I am now n a dilema whilst he snores in alcohol induced slumber ... do i take it and hope i havent already taken it or wait and see what happens in the morning .. which is the worst scenario to follow? Saw a video about a man who took it twice and overdosed. The only problem would be relying on the husband to realise i was in a coma and as he is one himself (although harmless) i am not rating my chances

So any advice ? Please tell me im not the only stupid person to have done this help
 
So what did you do?

Probably the best way out would have been to stay up and test, you could always use your bolus insulin to cover you temporarily until it's time for your next basal (I know people who have done this in a similar situation) the alternative would be to risk going high for a while, depends how high you would go without it for half a day.
 
The safest thing to do is not to take it (in case you overdose).

Correct your blood sugar in the morning with your rapid acting insulin and put it down to experience.
