Help...Recently changed from levemir (32 units split dose) to toujeo (32 units). I'm having huge drops overnight to the point that I'm having to go to bed with bs 20+ to then wake up to hypos in the morning. I've reduced toujeo to 24 units and it's still dropping overnight (see pic) but running higher than I'd like during the day. Should i continue to reduce the toujeo? How do I prevent the drop? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks

I use Toujeo at 40 units a day. Ask your DN if you are using the right amount I don't know how Levimir compares but Toujeo is 3 times more concentrated to other insulins A pharmacist should be able to help too (they like us cannot say adjust doses)

are you using another insulin with meals ? if so research the timescale in which that takes to peak followed by its activate duration time, maybe a reduction in that may help speak to dsn. eg fiasp appeared to peak usually around hour to 2 hours after injecting. still had lesser effect upto around 4.5 hours with me.

if your newly diagnosed as type1 you could be entering 'honeymoon phase' as your pancreas maybe likely be able to produce some of its own.
