Hi all can anyone give me any advice on levemir.Ive been on lantus for about 8 years and changed to this a couple of days ago.i was on 12 units of lantus every evening and nurse said for me to take 6 units of levemir at 9am and 6 units at 9pm.so i dont know what to do really ive been doing my novorapid at the usual t :? ime of approx 8am and the levemir at 9am can anyone tell me is this is ok

The times of your doses of Levemir aren't that important, provided they are regular each day. It's a good idea to split your Levemir dose because it's unusual to find someone for whom it has a 24 hour action. Spitting the dose will give more even coverage over 24 hours.
Relative doses of Lantus and Levemir seem to vary from person to person. Some find it necessary to use a larger dose of Levemir compared to that needed with Lantus, others find the doses are identical - keep a close eye on your bg numbers for the first few days to see where you fit on that sliding scale.
