i have recently changed from lantus to levemir at night and my blood glucose in the mornin is in the 20s is this normal im only takin 7 or do i need more thanks vampira
 
Hi Vampira (love the name), I found similar issues, I believe that Levemir doesn't cover the full 24 hours, so as a test I moved my time of taking to the evening, then found that come 20+ hours later, things started rising. May be worth discussing with your doctor, to see about splitting the dose, and doing a morning and evening injection.

I agree with Richard that you may have to go onto split doses if increasing the evening dose doesn't work, levemir unlike lantus doesn't seem to last 24 hours in most people and this is why they eventually take it twice a day, talk to your diabetes team about this.
