Evening all, my partner has a new phone onto which i downloaded the Libra Link App. For the life of me, I can't get the new flippin phone to scan his monitor, yet I can with the old phone still. Any suggestions, where am I going wrong? thanks.

Think you have to stick with the device you started the sensor with, hopefully when you start a new sensor & scan it with the new phone it will workEvening all, my partner has a new phone onto which i downloaded the Libra Link App. For the life of me, I can't get the new flippin phone to scan his monitor, yet I can with the old phone still. If you scan it with a new phone it will ask if you want to change to that phone. I've switched phones a couple of times while using Libre, it's not a problem.Think you have to stick with the device you started the sensor with, hopefully when you start a new sensor & scan it with the new phone it will work
The new phone won't do a scan, despite a new sensor being fitted, that's the problem, whereas the old one will!If you scan it with a new phone it will ask if you want to change to that phone. I've switched phones a couple of times while using Libre, it's not a problem.
thanks but im liable to do more harm than good! You should be able to use the new phone mid-sensor. I did that exact same thing a few weeks ago.
So long as the phone has an NFC installed and switched on it is likely to work. What is it and is it supported?
Did you just install LL from scratch or did you pick it up from backup with the Android setup?
If you are a bit techy you can copy the database over via a PC with a developer utility called ADB. But it's not for scaredy cats![]()
It does, and its selected.Does the new phone have NFC?
He's got a new sensor, it's still not scanning on the new phone, NFC and location are selected. It just keeps saying scanning error....Hi,
You may have to wait & carry on using the sensor with the old device till the sensor expires? It’s “tethered” to that phone..
When your partner changes sensor, use the new phone. Just to be sure NFC & location is switched on.
Best wishes.
Nope, that didn't workThink you have to stick with the device you started the sensor with, hopefully when you start a new sensor & scan it with the new phone it will work
The new phone doesn't seem to recognise the new sensor, keep getting scanning errorIf you scan it with a new phone it will ask if you want to change to that phone. I've switched phones a couple of times while using Libre, it's not a problem.
OK, “wood for the trees..” Has the librelink account been logged into on the new phone? He's got a new sensor, it's still not scanning on the new phone, NFC and location are selected. It just keeps saying scanning error....
the app has been downloaded and logged into. We're not getting as far as "ba bump" as the app isnt detecting a sensor. we just have the tutorial on how to scan and where to place the sensor. if I try and scan, it says scan error. frustrating!OK, “wood for the trees..” Has the librelink account been logged into on the new phone?
On the first “ba bump” on the scan. When the app detects a sensor. Has the phone been held a little longer till the “triad chord” notes video game sound chirps on a successful scan?
The NFC is not in the same place with all phones.the app has been downloaded and logged into. We're not getting as far as "ba bump" as the app isnt detecting a sensor. we just have the tutorial on how to scan and where to place the sensor. if I try and scan, it says scan error. frustrating!
OK.. I use another app in tandem which makes the sensor a “CGM” experience, via Bluetooth.. (we won’t go into that.)the app has been downloaded and logged into. What app as a matter of interest? I thought all the "CGM" ones had optional LibreView feeds too just for the DSNs to look atOK.. I use another app in tandem which makes the sensor a “CGM” experience, via Bluetooth.. (we won’t go into that.)
But.. when I actually NFC scan “for nursey.” There can be a fair bit of data to catch up on? (8 hours worth, with me. I personally get an update with the other app?)
So after the da bump.. Hold still a little longer. Then hopefully you may get the 1980s Pac man game noise..?
