Type of diabetes
Type 2
Treatment type
Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
Can I use a Libre 2 plus, I have a pacemaker fitted and will it affect it.

From the Abbot site:
Performance of the FreeStyle Libre systems when used with other implanted medical devices, such as pacemakers, has not been evaluated, therefore a person wearing a pacemaker should not use the FreeStyle Libre systems.
So they can't guarantee that the Libre won't interfere with the pacemaker.

Not doubting you, but can you add a link to this information?

Libre uses bluetooth, just like many other devices (for listening to music or hands free phonecalls while driving).
It may be that Abbott simply put this on their website as a blanket protection against lawsuits, without there being a good reason for it.

On Facebook tonight I read a post on a rollercoaster ride not being allowed for 'diabetics', no specification on this being diabetics treated with diet only, on insulin, or on pumps.
Which makes me think saying NO is the easy way out for companies, relieving them of any legal repercussons.

I would ask both your cardiologist and the HCP treating your diabetes.
