Hi is anyone having trouble with their libre2. Does heat affect it? Mine keeps saying no alarms due to lost signal. This has only happened in the last few days. I changed sensor last Friday. It’s really annoying as I need the reassurance of the alarms overnight. Thanks in advance

Do you mean Libre 2 or 3?
The thread title is 3 but your text says 2.

I have never had any issues with Libre and heat and worn them in hotter temperatures than we are having now.
It could just be a faulty batch. Have you contacted Abbott?

Get a sensor patch such as a Skin Grip - available on Amazon.

Hi
The alarm is designed to go off if you have a lost signal so whilst it might wake you up at least you will know.
If the sensor is over heating there will be a separate error message telling you its the heat.
This has only ever happened to me once in 5 years and that was in the canaries.

I sometimes have a run of lost signals but have never been too concerned as the alarm goes off to tell me and yes it can be a nuisance but thats all it is.
I'm old school and survived for 40 years without the libre which is why i simply adore it and the improvement of my control is down to the libre.

I wish you well

Tony

How would that help with loss of signal alerts?
You can get signal loss if the CGM becomes loose.

The Libre website says …

You should make sure your phone is within 6 meters (20ft) of the Sensor. Try scanning the Sensor to get a glucose reading. Then try turning Bluetooth OFF then ON again. If that doesn’t work, try turning your phone OFF and ON again. If Signal Loss message shows again, contact customer service.
