Libre availability in Bristol area

Apologies if this has been asked before. I live in Surrey and get the Libre free on prescription. We are moving closer to the Bristol area (Gloucester, Somerset, Bristol itself) so I am wondering if there are any areas where the Libre will not be available on prescription. I've asked Abbott but they can't or won't tell me.

I would imagine if you are already receiving it then there won't be an issue but would probably be a different story if you were looking to start it, I assume that you have already looked in to swapping GP surgeries and hospital teams so your best bet would be to ask them xx

Hi,

From my experience regarding test cartriges on prescription for a meter. (It don't use strips.)
I had no issues when swapping surgeries in a different county.
If the Libre is already prescribed? I wouldn't raise issue with the new surgery...

Thanks Jaylee, we haven't found a house to move to yet, but when we can and find our local surgery I'll hope we can just transfer our repeat prescriptions across.
