Hi,

My 6.5Y old daughter with D1 Is going to School and we are wondering if there Is any smartwatch on the market which connects with Miao Miao and sends results to xdrip without any phone? It would be convenient for her to wear only a smartwatch instead of phone. All the smartwatches I've found needs a phone to connect with and to send data to xdrip. Thank you in advance!

Hi @pampy87
Sorry I don't know for sure the answer, however, I'm an xdrip user with miao miao, and I've found the Facebook xdrip group really helpful.

Check out Juggluco (Android Play Store). I use the android app, but the documentation, as it is, says there is an android watch app. I don't know if is dependant on the phone or not, but I think it may well be independent. The author is quite approachable.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi @pampy87 welcome to the forum.

@ANTJE is correct my Watlaa one is a standalone watch. But needs a Bluetooth bridge to scan & constantly send data to a stripped back xDrip on the watch’s firmware? With Libre 2. I found the Bublan bubble mini works. Smaller footprint to the Miaomiao which I previously used..
I wear the scanner/ bridge with an arm Band. Battery life for the watch & bridge is good too..
Most smart watches are pretty “chunky” but I feel the Watlaa compliments my girly dancer wrists..
But I’m a “grown adult.” Though the strap is adjustable. There maybe still more “growing room” for a 6 year old?
Some old pics below.

Hope this helps get a gauge on things.?

Comparison to Bubble mini the Miao Miao2 which I previously used..

Thank you all for replies. For my better understanding: with Watlaa one I need only Miao Miao to readout from Libre and then Watlaa sends it to xdrip and I can see my daughter's readings on my mobile?

Hi,

I don’t have a “follower.” (Can’t help with that side of things.) Is your daughter using the Libre 2?

I had hell’s delight originally with the new L2 algorithm when moving over from the first libre. (The MM2 was starting to loose battery life with more frequent charges too.)
I got the Bubble mini as a bridge to work with the L2 but needed a firmware update on the watch via an app on my phone. (You calibrate from the app instead of fiddling with the watch menu. It will also such the time too.)

The L2 itself works flawlessly using the sensors BT with an app on my phone called “Diabox.” Less of a faff for me than xDrip.

If your daughter uses the L1 the Bubble should handle it. Then should be ready if there is a change to the libre 2?
(Just attempting to save you unnecessary expense..)
I had no choice with the changeover. Was self funding for 2 years then got the L2s prescribed.
