Libre sensor came off

11 days into a sensor and it fell off. I felt it nagging a little bit as I was out for a jog this morning and when I looked it was hanging off.

Is there any sense in complaining, given that I can't really prove it?

Ring Freestyle on the customer services number. You will be asked a series of questions, and then they will almost certainly replace the sensor. :D

If you start off with a polite enquiry for help to resolve the issue, you will get much further than if you start of by mentioning the word 'complaint'.

(but I AM biased; I have done my time in Customer Services and feel, quite strongly, that if a person starts out by looking to confront, rather than an adult discussion, then they should be refused service on principle. :D Actually, I think they should be shot, but I did say I am biased. :hilarious:)

I would completely agree with @Brunneria (well, maybe not on the shot part), about Abbott support. When I have had to call them, I always prepare what I want to say and any supporting data I might want to quote. I have never asked for a replacement, but more often than not, if the issue is reasonable, and the data supports it, a replacement is sent.

You will doubtless be asked to confirm you had applied the sensor, as per their instructions, to the appropriate site on your arm, and will need the reader for the serial number of your sensor and should expect to be asked to return the sensor that fell off for their investigations. They will send prepaid return packaging, if necessary.
