My husband and I are looking to get some life insurance but every quote we get goes up ridiculously high because of my husbands diabetes. I just wondered if anyone could recommend any good companies to get out life insurance with? I know, with any, the insurance will rise due to the diabetes but I'm just seeing if there's any good deals that aren't silly? Thank you in advance

I don't have any current leads for you sorry. My only experience with life insurance was when I bought some real soon after being diagnosed with Type 1. A friend sold me a policy that wasn't "rated" because I hadn't had diabetes very long. The price went up once you'd had it for over 3 years.

I recently amended my life policy to remove someone. I told them I had just been diagnosed with t1 and it didn’t make any difference - they just noted it. As above not sure if this is because I’m newly diagnosed and still only in my 30s?

Well you were already enrolled when you got diabetes so they can't "rate" you after the fact. If they could do that they'd cancel your policy if you were diagnosed with cancer so they didn't have to pay. Right?
