Hi,

Ive got a couple of recipes I wanted to try out but just have a couple of questions.

I believe Linseed and Flaxseed are the same thing is this true?
I can get golden Linseed or Wholefood brown Linseed, is there any real difference?

I was going to try some of the low carb breads that Whitby Jet has put on the recipe list.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, :)

Linseed is the same as flax seed.
I believe you must have the seeds grounded on a coffee grinder or some kind of grinder, prior to adding to foods.

However it is well worth it.

Also Chia seeds are even better and you do not need to grind them, Chia seeds also last longer.

izzzi, I don't like the taste of flax so where would I get chia seeds from?, what do they taste like? and do they need to be groud before eating?, thanks, Deb

Hi Deb, :)

I don't think Chia seeds have a taste. neutral probably.

They are either black or white seeds, I get mine from Amazon, about £16.00p a 1kg bag (free postage) make sure you give your colour preference.

Some prefer white when adding to cakes etc; both colours are the same quality.

There are quite weird when you put them in water, turn a bit like tomato seeds.

There are a few tips on this forum, look at superfoods and chia seeds.

This Webb may also help . http://www.chiaseedrecipes.com/40-ways- ... -seeds.php

Good luck

Roy. :)
