When first diagnosed i popped along to lloyds chemist and did a test after feeling so ill, they said they were sure i was diabetic and sent a letter over to my g.p instantly, i was then supposed to have a glucose tolerant test a week later(they thought type 2) i got iller and iller as the week went on and went to hospital where i was was diagnosed as type 1 and was very ill with dka, so diagnosis doesnt take long and with bloods that high they will take u seriously
