Live longer with a whole food diet

You have probably heard some of Robert Lustig's lectures on YouTube, if not, he gets really, really het up about HFCS. He is a consultant paediatrician and is passionate about his patients, so passionate in fact that he took a law degree to (I think) make sure that Big Food couldn't litigate against anything he said/says. So you can be sure he has fact checked all of his data. He's none too fussy about sugar, either!
With all due respect to Dr Lustig, HFCS has only slightly more fructose than regular refined sugar. The "high fructose" part of the name is just because regular corn syrup is mostly glucose. Chemically there is practically no difference between HFCS and regular table sugar. The difference is that HFCS is much cheaper to make and, therefore, makes ultraprocessed food cheaper, which encourages people to eat more of it. If you don't believe me, you can google it yourself.

I am in full full agreement. The same happened when aspartame came off patent, it ended up in a helluva lot of processed foods. The cheaper an ingredient is the more profit to be made.
