I am type 2 insulin dependant diabetic. I have managed my condition for 10 years now.
However I have recently (in the last year) been subject to a diabetic foot ulcer. It is small and slowly recovering with dressings and fortnightly appointments with an NHS podiatrist.
I am due to fly to the US in 1 month. It will be a 9hr flight. Any tips on how to ensure any swelling is kept to a minimum and how to be kind to my feet. I have purchased some Crocs as heard these can help and are most comfortable when flying rather than wearing trainers.

I would definitely discuss this with you podiatrist, they know best on this subject, and also how to care for the ulcer while away and when to seek medical help.

Enjoy your trip!
