I've been out of the 'game' for a few years now. Latest meter I got was the Contour USB.
It's a bit of a 1st world problem I know but I'm looking some information on these carb counting meters? I was discussing them with a fellow diabetic and she said how good they were.
I chose the iBG Star from Sonofi-Avensis, because I can easily attach it to my iPhone 4, and since the readings are logged into the iBG Star program, there's no need for me to carry a bulky logbook around, plus, I can Email a month's worth of Data to my Diabetic Specialist for his/her information...!

Most meters are PC compatible now and results can be uploaded. Not sure on specific carb counting meters though. Do you mean ones that reccomend a dose based on estimated carbs ?

They are indeed, the USB I use is PC compatible which is handy.
As for the carb counting ones if assume they are ones you enter your offset and it calculates how much you require. I may be describing them wrong lol.
Back again kids. Realised I had this old thread, no point making a new one!
Currently using a Verio IQ meter. Been told the strips for this are being discontinued.
Any suggestions on a new meter? I've got my clinic appointment at the hospital next week & I'll be enquiring about a Libre as a friend got one a while ago on the NHS.
I'd like the ability to graph out my results, either on the meter or via a connected app on my phone. Colour screen on the Verio IQ is nice too, so a colour screen would be of benefit.
