I have been type one for 4 month now and feel I am losing focus .My levels seem to be ok most of the time .but I am taking less and less insulin and my readings are not going up to high the max has been 11. Now I am wondering am I diabetic or is it the honneymoon that started.dont no and it is doing my head in .Has any body else had the same would realy like some help

I'm similar Robert. Diagnosed type 1 in Jan 2013. However, I pretty much eat and drink what I want and my levels remain very stable. I have wondered before if they made a mistake lol ! Sadly no, I am in the "honeymoon phase". Could last up to a year so I'll make the most of it as it won't last ! I'd suggest you do too ! Good luck

Do you still take some insulin I was told I need to take it .and I am the same eating what I want to going to be a big shock when it does decide to give up

Yes, I take a basal insulin but only 5 units at night and a fast acting one ( Humalog, 1 unit per 15g of carbs ). Both pretty low doses. You ?

If I take what I should I would be in a constant hypo also just spoke to the nurse she has said to drop my back ground insulin to 12 in stead of 16 this may help .Only thing I might have to add more fast acting sinsulin during the day so will wait and see what happens .She also said my liver might be dumping extra glucose during the night

it is a bit of a pain and there will be a lot of trial and error but I guess we'll both just have to accept it ! Good luck !

I take 3 units levemir in the evening and that is it at the moment. I eat what I like, when I like with little effect on BG. I only take 1 unit Novorapid if I'm above 10 and that's only happened once.

It won't last for ever so take advantage for now but keep testing!
