Hi. New to this. Losing weight steadily but don't seem to be able to lose any from around the middle. Any suggestions what I can do??

Speaking to the trainers at my gym, that's the last place that men lose fat. Generally you can't target fast loss. It is an all over effect. So if you are losing weight and decreasing your body fat percentage, then you are on the right track. It will just take a bit of time.

Hi there. Abdominal fat is one of the last places it goes from in diabetics. As you are losing steadily this will happen for you. It is going but slowly if you measure yourself you will see the inches come off..I've just lost 2 stone almost to be at my right weight and the tummy fat just kind of went with a rush at the end. Well done and good luck.

@alliebee

When you've beaten your diabetes into submission, squelched your MS into a corner, and hit your weight target - you won't go skipping off into the wide blue yonder will you?

You make such fab contributions. We would miss you terribly!

I had the same problem. Lost 2 stone and not 1 inch from my tummy.
Very weird. Then all of a sudden I started to lose inches from my tum.
Thought it was never going to happen.
At some point, even if you're no longer losing weight, the inches from your tum will start to drop.
Thanks for this thread, I am also hopeing to loose tummy fat ... And this is encouraging..
