When I say I eat very little, it is very little to what I used to eat. I now only ever have breakfast, lunch and dinner and never have any snacks in between. Previously I would eat snacks whenever I felt hungry whereas I ignore the hunger signs now as I know I aren't really hungry. The good thing is that I really look forward to meals now and savour the food a lot more than I ever did.I don't know how long your journey has been, but it isn't healthy to eat very little. Eating low carb (low enough to satisfy your BG meter) is sufficient to lose all excess weight for the majority of people. In fact many worry about how to stop/reverse weight loss on low carb.
I have been on Mounjaro for around a year now and it has helped bring my a1c down a bit but sadly my weight won't budge. I feel it help curb some of my cravings and made me feel full faster but not enough to make much a difference in the scale. It should be recognised that 2/3rds of PWD - Both T1 and T2 - are Overweight or Obese. Unfortunately the stigma of weight combines with stigma of D and we hear too little about the issue. Great that an increasing number can get some help with medications, Terzepatide (Mounjaro) can help reduce insulin needs and aid the struggle to lose weight.
