Loss of balance, vertigo

I have recently experienced a major worsening of my peripheral neuropathy leading to a worsening of my balance, and for the first time dizziness (lightheadedness), all presumably tied in with the loss of sensation in the foot nerves - feet feel more spongey. I am going to get balance training. But I wonder if there is any medication for the dizziness, preferably not an antihistamine, because of my tinnitus. Anyone had experience of this? Many thanks, Peter

I have no idea what makes you dizzy but when I had a bout of the giddies I was told to get some travel sickness pills. The consultant said that they had the stuff in them that I needed. At that time I did not know that dizziness was a possible symptom of diabetes. Stugeron was what I bought but I don't remember if it was effective or not. I am sure there are lots of over the counter travel sickness pills you could try.

Draggett - It's probably worthwhile just checking how your blood pressure is doing if you'r experiencing dizzy turns and ensuring you haven't got any pesky wax in your ears.
