Just need to let off steam for a few minutes.
I seem to spend half my life having blood tests done at the surgery because I'm diabetic and because I take warfarin. Blood tests never seem to coincide so sometimes it can be 3/4 visits a week. I had a phone call to-day from the surgery to say that the lab had not received my bloods for my INR test so could I come in and have it done again. I said I wasn't being tested for my INR but fasting/ liver/thyroid etc so were they really certain that my bloods hadn't been received. End result: needed to make another fasting blood test appointment and another diabetic review. It is now 8 months since my last one instead of 6 months. I'm also having to see a new nurse- mine will be on maternity leave.I know that this cannot be blamed on anyone in particular BUT
. it's a good job I'm retired.
. it's just as well I drive.
PS I know someone who works in the hospital and my blood tests WERE received and done but how can I argue this with the surgery.....I'm not supposed to know! What a waste of everyone's time and money.
PPS My IFCC was 62.8 so if I've converted correctly that's 7.9. Not as good as I had hoped if the recommendation is to keep it below 48
