Being not hugely talented in the kitchen I was wondering if anyone had a simple recipe to make a low carb breadcrumb coating for chicken/fish etc out of some low carb bread, srsly or similar?
I'm guessing I blitz a slice of bread (fresh or stale??) and use egg to make it stick, but seasoning etc I don't have a clue.
If I could get something that tastes even vaguely like a KFC coating I'd be eternally grateful . . . .
I'm lazy I decided the amount of carbs in a tiny wee bit of dressing stuck to a bit of chicken wasn't worth the hassle of finding a LC version. Would be different if it was a whole loaf or something like that.
Like @Antje77 says pork scratchings are a good one but can be a bit strong in flavour for things like fish, I just use dipped in egg then almond flour, Parmesan is a good one for chicken, or a mix of both - good for “courgette or halloumi fries. Season the “flour” before using as a coating with salt & pepper or any dried herbs you like
