Dr. Fung makes a really interesting point that resonates with me when he speaks of ICU patients with acute infections being 'force fed' by gastric tube. The body naturally downgrades appetite during these episodes and the old adage of 'Feed a cold, starve a fever' leapt into my mind. Sometimes, just sometimes, the old wives tales turn out to be true. Thanks for posting this.

If I remember just one aspect of this Q&A it will be that even if you are a boffin you are still human and can still be affected by lifes ups and downs. I especially liked the 'Carb Shark' descriptive. Thanks for keeping us up to date with the presentations.
