Low carb cookbook

My favourite is Br Bernsteins "The Diabetes Diet". Also good are the South Beach diet books. If you want really low carbs then the Atkins diet books are excellent.

I've become a big fan of the 'food doctor', ian marber. Most of his recipes are low carb, easy to make and delicious- amazon stock all the books and I've found the reviews useful. He also sells seed mixes, bars and the like. I've found soya nuts to be a fantastic snack- filling and no impact on sugars but haven't tried any of his other products. Soya nuts are sold under the food doctor brand but I found cheaper ones in the indian food section at Tescos (can't remember the brand i'm afraid).

Re: Dr.Bernstein "Diabetes Diet" this book is very extreme could,nt live like this....I'll stick to a healthy BALANCED diet! Who the heck has a glass of champagne knocking around to cook a simple meal? I seem to be keeping my BS in the normal realms eating as I do NOT stacks of carbs, but Im not obcessed if I secome to the odd round of toast, this diet would certainly put an end to dining out!!! Im not making my self anymore miserable than I already am!!!
