Low carb 'flu

Hi

Can anyone please enlighten me on low carb flu? I've been feeling pretty rotten all day today with 'flu like symptons - aching joints, shivvery, thick head and sore throat. I'm not sure if I'm going down with the real thing or with low carb 'flu. As I started LCHF in mid March I would have expected the symptoms before now, but have had no adverse reactions at all. Until today. Feel stumped as to how to treat it as my usual hot lemon and honey remedies will now be off limits

I'd say you are getting a cold/flu if your carbs are low since march

Drink more water and sometimes a couple of tsp salt in a glass of water can help.

I've only ever had low carb flu for the first few days after I cut down carbs drastically.
Sounds like a bug to me.

How are you doing with your low carb eating? And the cream?

If you are anything like me, expect you BG to go haywire during your bug (my fasting is usually 5.3 but sits at 8-8.5 during a cold). Very annoying!
