I have received my box full of low carb goodies from the lowcarbmegastore, I wil post my findings as I have them.

Currently I am having a roast chicken and crispy bacon salad, lettuce, 1 vine tomato, red onion and watercress. I have used some walden farms chipotle ranch dressing (carb free, sugar free, calorie free, gluten free, everything free) 2 tablespoons worth covers salad well. Personally I like it, I have missed a sauce with flavour other than mayo. It has a nice flavour of smokeyness and leaves quite a nice mild hotness (but not burning) chilli taste in the mouth. It's not as thick as I would have liked but it's not watery by any means.

I would give it an 8/10. Definatley will be using on things. I will update in an hour or 2 to see what it has done to my BG levels. (this kinda lunch is what I would normally have with mayo and does not effect my levels much.

WEll a quick idea for a bbq type sauce is get some chipotle powder or liquid smoke (Ainsley does one) and add that to your mayo. Its lovely.

Ok, 2 hours later my BG is 5.7, which has come down from before lunch which was 6.3.

Great result :D

Looking forward to opening the hienz no added sugar low carb ketchup, 1g carbs and 1g sugar per serving.

I find products from Low Carb Megastore to be excellent. just a bit pricey for everyday.

Have you tried their "Mama Lupes tortilla wraps"? Excellent. Good for normal mexican wraps, but also as an alternative to the same-old burgen bread sometimes.

Sounds like your going to be having a feast tonight Scot

Sounds very interesting! I used to eat a lot of mexican fajitas before diagnosis but the usual wraps from the supermarkets are too high in carbs for me so I thought "Oh well, thats that then" I must check these out! Thanks

I saw them, I may get some next time if they are like burgen, I do like wraps with chicken, mayo and salad.

They're not like burgen, they're like wraps. But low carb and work well!
