I rightly assumed that Chez had a lot of common sense and ate within moderation anyway.
I eat what I like ie no food is out of bounds but I do make sure it is in moderation and all carbs are counted and insulin taken to cover the food eaten.

What I meant was that I have found that in order to maintain excellent diabetic control, I have had to drastically cut out many of the things traditionally considered 'healthy' for a diabetic - i.e. starchy carbs including bread, pasta, potatos, some fruits. And that even if I did match the amount of insulin to these foods, my blood sugar levels would spike and fall. It has therefore been beneficial to me (and many others on this forum) to cut right back on carbs. Hope I have not caused any offence.
