Oh...and a finger prick test doesn't equate exactly to the level an HbA1c test will give you, so if your borderline test was say 48, a self test of 6 would equate to a number nearer 40, so it is an improvement already.
Yes it's not the 6 that bothers me - it's the 6 before a meal. If it's 6 before a meal what is it the rest of the time? I've done ten tests a day and got my own average which was spot on for the three monthly thing
Ut oh - so far NOT so good. Stuck to low carb and blood sugar higher than ever before. 7.3 this afternoon and I'm normally 4.9 by this time. Will soldier on and see what happens
Well, think of it like this - the longer time periods you have of feeling well on LCHF, the worse you will feel when you fall off the wagon and binge. A bit like a drinker who ends up with a massive hangover. Maybe it will help prove to you how much better life can be on the wagon rather than off it?
