Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me, I am low-carbing and my readings have more than halfed, I have lost maybe three quarters of a stone in three months and didn't need to at all, my problem is that I don't seem to be tolerant of any more than 50 g of carbs a day, I can't eat fats either because I have gall stones and have had for 20 years or more with no probs, however since being diagnosed with diabetes 2 in July I have maybe upped my fats a little just to fill me up, because I seem to be forever hungry, now I am having a bit of a gall-bladder flare up for the first time in god knows when due I think to losing weight and the increase in fats, my question is how do resolve the problem of feeling hungry and losing weight without filling up on fats and extra protein whilst still trying to do enough exercise to maintain my lowered bg levels, in other words WHAT CAN I EAT, is protein bad for you, I have read on this site that excessive amounts is bad for kidneys or liver, can't remember which, advise very much appreciated, I am feeling very down and at a loss to know what to eat for the best, I have reduced my Hba1c down from 12.3 to 7 in three months on diet only, and the doc is giving me another three months to see if I can get it down further. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
