I am on a pump and trying to conceive. I was on a low carb eating plan around 40-50 grams per day but diabetic nurse said minimum for health conception is 150 grams but since this my sugars are all over and nurse doesn't fully understand how to ajust my pump. Anyone had experience of this x

I have also read the being in nutritional ketosis (which you will be on the level of carbs you're eating) inferrers with the bodies ability to conceive... I researched it quite a lot, as I'm also planning a pregnancy and was also on less than 70g carbs a day... There was enough that I read that has caused me to increase my carbs to around 150g a day now...

It's a very personal choice - especially as low carb makes sense for us - but google low carb and or nutritional ketosis and fertility and you'll be able to make your own mind up x

PS - different carbs have very different effects on me - so although I've upped my carbs, I'm still almost entirely grain free - as those are the things that most cause my blood sugars to go c-r-a-z-y... So in terms of your pump - maybe experiment with different types of carbs...? x
