Can a diet low in carbs (a little over 50gr a day, from carbohydrate powder) cause diabetes? I train weights and martial arts 6 times a week and I eat high protein and enough fat from plants)

There is nothing that links a low-carb diet to the development of diabetes. If anything, the opposite is true and many manage their diabetes (after diagnosis) through a low-carb diet.

Your blood sugar can be a bit more sensitive to carbohydrates when following a low-carb diet, but most people find that to be a temporary change.
