I have one of these and they really are quite handy. The best thing to do is to cook all food from scratch where you can. If you are wondering about certain things, a quick tip, go onto the web page of the supermarket you usually use, look at the item you want to know about then click the nutritional information. Just watch out what amount of grams of the product they are using for their figures. One other tip that I do. Plan your meals at least a day in advance, then you can make sure you know exactly how many grams of carbs you are eating before you eat, rather than waiting until it's gone and realising accidentally you had too many.
