Guys can anyone please help me I’m using the Libre 2 sensor and it’s been telling me that my blood sugar is low despite eating a beef burger salad and coleslaw and a kinder egg, I feel like I’m low but I have double checked my glucose levels with my pin prick and meter saying it’s 14.9? Please help

Your meter will be the most accurate assuming your test strips are in date. I would check it again in a couple of hours and then contact abbot and ask for a replacement sensor if it’s still out.

Sensor, ends in 15 days. So a brand new sensor. Sensors are known to be inaccurate in the first day or so. This can also be seen on the trace including a gap. Wildly changing is also a sign of inaccuracy. Certainly report to Abbott who may offer a free replacement but they can withhold on new sensors. You will need three comparative readings with fingerpricks. It is likely to stabilise by third day so not worth pulling off yet. The reason for inaccuracy is application trauma - sometimes reduced with ibuprofen ;) The body does react to “intruders” by coating the filament with macrophages- this reduces the exposure to glucose and causes low readings.

I use a Lingo biosensor (effectively a CGM) and it seems to report low (<3.1 mmol/L) for about a half a day after applying it. After that it behaves.
