Low Protein Fats

I've seen a few people being advised to lower their protein and raise their fat intake. Can someone give me some ideas about how to achieve this? I think most of my sources of fat are also quite protein-rich (cheese for example)... I'm not sure what food offer good fats but low protein.

Many thanks x

I see it more as an adjustment than a replacement. For example, have a smaller slice of cheese, and add a pat of butter on top; similarly, instead of 3 eggs in your omellette, make it with 2 plus some cream. Add coconut oil (and butter, for a full bulletproof version) to your coffee. Extra olive oil in your green salad, with a smaller slice of roast. Chicken with skin on! :)

Skip the chicken and go for beef and mutton instead. Chicken is extremely high in protein and has almost no fat at all. Belly pork is often nice and fat, the other day I found a piece of belly pork that was almost pure fat, lovely.

Then there are oils and other fats. Finely grated parmesan in the salad will help the oil stick better so you can use more. Or mix in some creme fraiche, also helps the oil or dressing stick instead of pooling in the bottom of the bowl.

Add a generous amount of coconut or olive oil to soups and stews.

I'd say skip skinless chicken breasts, but legs with skin on (preferably organic - they live longer and tend to accumulate more fat) are juicy! Thumbs up for pork belly too - excellent in the slow cooker, with spices to your taste.
