low sugars

hi
my name is shaun,2 months ago i was diagnosed type 2 and put on metformin
i have been monitoing my levels
and have fond if my levels go down to 4.5 ,i become very weak and would kill for food,and also become quite stressed and slightly snappy,is this a normal reaction to low sugars

Hi! First point is, those levels aren't really low. They are normal for a non diabetic, so well done for getting readings there, you're doing things right obviously.
Trouble is, your body has got used to high blood sugar levels so it FEELS low when you get down to good levels. Stick with it, your body will re-adjust and you'll start feeling great.
