Hi
About the sex drive I'm having the same issue. Im 37 year in to diagnose. Changed everything around sports, gym, running low carb
My a1c is dropped to 4.7% from. 8 since about 6 month no sex drive at all. checked testosterone levels and its 14 it's low but they wouldn't give me any testosterone treatment if it's not lower than 8.So I've started to take all mighty viagra as you can get it in UK without prescription now.
Hi @Brendon.Dean, I have not suffered any other auto-immune diseases apart form diabetes but have read about them.
You have many symptoms and I think you need a well-experienced doctor to sort out your troubles.
It may be that a number of conditions need to be looked for and ruled out, and of course if one or more is/are found then their treatment may help sort out what condition(s) is/are causing which of your symptoms.
Best Wishes.
Yes. Strangely it developed after after all " good" lifestyle changes . Losing a lot of weight in fat ,gaining nice muscle massInteresting. So you noticed this developed AFTER you improved your health? Has the low testosterone limited your sex life, even with the Viagra?
In Australia two readings below 8 are required before testosterone can be prescribed on the Authority script scheme.Hi

Just a thought: trying to perform whilst hypo does not work and end well !!Yes. Strangely it developed after after all " good" lifestyle changes . Losing a lot of weight in fat ,gaining nice muscle mass
Not sure what testosterone levels I've had before diagnosis but never had any problems with erection. so 6 month ago I've started thinking less about sex and didn't need it as much as before. Until day when I couldn't perform in bed. It was a great shock to me. Felt like no man no more. So I think for the next few attempts I was so scared that i would fail again that only thinking about not being able to perform made me not being able to perform even more it that makes any sense . Went to pharmacy bought viagra and using ever since. Viagra will not make you wanting sex or think about it more .just give you the assurance that you will perform when needed.

Government bureaucracy and economics I guess are the answers. Also an over-reaction to steroid abuse. How come more strict over there? I get the vibe from my nurse that I wont have any problems. They seem more than open to helping and prescribing something to help.
HiAre there any people mid 20's-30's who have been diagnosed with low testosterone and what they've done about it?
I'm waiting on blood tests but I have had progressive symptoms starting as of 2 years ago to date. I'm extremely healthy with eating a ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting, weights 5x a week, hockey 2x a week, cardio daily, I stimulate the mind by reading, I do personal development exercises, I work P/T...
Basically I feel on top of things yet I have the following symptoms:
Non existent sex drive, I have to put in work to get an erection otherwise it had been months till last night that I realized I hadn't gotten one without trying.
My vision has gotten worse and my eye doctor says after looking at my eyes I don't even have signs of diabetes.
My headaches have gotten more and more frequent in association with dizziness.
HUGE uncontrollable mood swings while having steady in range blood sugars, predominantly anger and feeling of self defeat.
I have too much insulin resistance imho.. considering i'm 6'2 190lbs 14% body fat with average muscle tone.
I don't sleep much and it's not that I don't feel like I'm tired it's like I have no hop to my step, like I'm missing the juice or my muscles feel off as opposed to previous years.
Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience or commenting on mine
Hi @lucas12. I have a diabetic friend at my gym who has had roughly the same experience as you. That is, threatened with having to inject insulin, he took to the gym, lost weight and built fabulous muscles. His bgs improved, the insulin threat receded. He has been trying to find a girl-friend, and you can imagine his state of mind when recently he seemed to have found one, only to encounter erectile problems with her. Since then his GP referred him to a specialist clinic and he has been prescribed what sounds to me like viagra. From my perspective, the root problem is likely to be elevated bgs, due to the fact that he isn't eating low carb, but I don't think that programme appeals to him.Yes. Hey @Alexandra 100 Tell him not to worry. Human body works in mysterious ways. Most importantly he mustn't block himself emotionally. Fear of not being able to perform is worse than low testosterone it blocks you all alongHi @lucas12. I have a diabetic friend at my gym who has had roughly the same experience as you. PS At the clinic they found that he has borderline low testosterone.
Good to know things came good for you. I'll pass on the info. when I next see him. I've tried to get him to join the Forum, but so far no success, though he is always interested in what I tell him about members. As regards cardio, no, he refuses to do any. I once offered to lend him an umbrella and he replied, "Why do I want an umbrella when I've got a car".Hey @Alexandra 100 Tell him not to worry. Human body works in mysterious ways. Has he doing a lot of cardio? If so ask him to try stop for a bit. Even stop the gym for a bit and see if that will change something. Sims that cardio can lower testosterone. In the meantime he can take tablets. No shame in that,No one needs to know. Loads of sleep. Clean food ,low sugars, less stress worked for me.
