Low weight dilemma

I am a 'newbie' having recently started on insulin and am having a problem keeping my glucose levels down as all the usual advice is to lose weight by controlling diet. That is fine except that I am slightly underweight and can't afford to get any lighter which is what happened when I tried a low carb diet for a couple of weeks. Has anyone had this problem and found an answer?
Thanks
Kai

Hi Kai_Graham
I faced a similar problem; black out once dued to reduce the amount of dinner and ate earlier than usual. That was over a year ago.
I am frightened to reduce carb intake: I eat it about my fist size which was recomend by my diabetic nurse .As I swim 80 laps ( 2km or 64 laps =1 mile).I have built up muscles and gained weight mid range. I still find after have eaten and 1 hour later ;
DO THE EXERCISE FOR 45 MINUTES ; i e brisk walking,swimming or zumba dance.This help my BG stay within range.
