Every time my bg levels reach 5/6 it feels like a hypo. My body is used to running up to the 20's however with increase in insulin im getting at least one normal reading a day however that's when it feels like a hypo. Had a few hypos this week whilst in hospital so def know what they feel like.

Does the body start to get used to normal bg levels after a while?

Hi and welcome,
If your sugars have always run in their 20's then dropping to 5/6 then you will get these feelings of hypo. If possible try and see if you can keep the same lower levels and it will eventually settle.
I know it's hard but keeping your sugars at a high level can lead to complication, which you really don't want, ( i certainly don't want to worry you) but i do have some complications and wouldn't want it happening to you.
If i can help please don't hesitate to contact me.
Good luck and take care
Tracey
