Type 2 testing program works, started on it on 12th December, and now my HbA1c has dropped from 54 to 42, and my weight has continued to drop, now 15st , lost 41lbs since first diagnosed in early October, blood pressure also down below 130/80.
Now no medication required, controlling diabetes by diet only.

Well done on the reduction, but just. To be picky, it's not the testing programme that's responsible for your success, it's your actions with your diet, and maybe a bit of exercise? The testing programme merely gives you immediate feedback, from which you can make changes, rather than waiting for your next GP test.

That's not any form of being a smarty-pants from me, but acknowledging your efforts.

Reduction continuing, weight now down to 14st 11lbs, sticking to "eat to the meter" and attending exercise class via the doctor's surgery and the local council leisure centre. Now lighter than what I was when I was still working five years ago, before I retired.

Weight still on the downward slope, now 14st 3lbs, finally got under the 200lbs.
Last time my weight was in this range was over 35 years ago.
